The electromechanical CLIQ^® cylinder is used in combination with the MTL^™CLIQ^® key enabling the collection and storage of information about when the cylinder has been accessed and with which key. In addition, the cylinder stores a list of authorized and unauthorized MTL^™CLIQ^® keys to ensure only enabled keys have access.

The CLIQ^® Local Programming Device (PD) is used to connect CLIQ^® keys and cylinders to the software (CLIQ^® Manager and/or CLIQ^® Web Manager), via secure communication.
