Mul-T-Lock locks cellular antenna sites in Latin America

Mul-T-Lock, the leading and largest manufacturer and distributor of cylinders, locks and protection solutions in Israel, has recently won a multi-national contract to supply Claro, a Guatmalen telecom giant, locking solutions for their cellular towers across Latin America.

Mul-T-Lock will be deploying its electromechanical CLIQ® platform that provides remote locking control and management via its CLIQ® Remote solution. The project’s valuation stands at $1M.

Already using an electromechanical locking solution from Mul-T-Lock, Claro decided to upgrade the system with remote management and control capabilities. David Stern, Export manager of Mul-T-Lock Latin America stated, “ Claro required an adaptive solution that combined High Security locking and access control together with leading technology for the remote control and management of the platform. CLIQ® Remote addressed these needs and more.”

The sophisticated system will be installed at Claro's cellular antenna sites in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and Costa Rica. The CLIQ® platform combines mechanical locking systems with the highest level of security and a broad variety of possibilities for access control systems, user management and creating advanced electromechanical locking solutions suitable for the security of infrastructure, government offices, industrial buildings, health institutes etc."

Claro is one of several telecom companies in Latin America that have chosen a locking solution offered by Cliq Remote manufactured by Mul-T-Lock to protect their sites. Other companies include the large Brazilian telecom company Nextel that chose to use Cliq Remote added cellular antenna sites. The value of that project was approx. NIS 1 million.

Mul-T-Lock has a strong presence in Latin America through 22 distributors and two subsidiaries, in Mexico and Argentina.
