ASSA ABLOY Executive interview IFSEC 2012

05/07/2012

Watch the video interview with senior executives from ASSA ABLOY for a unique insight into company strategy

At IFSEC 2012, we took the opportunity to interview our senior executives about what to expect from ASSA ABLOY in the next 12 months.

Johan Molin, President and CEO, made the observation that an impressive 20% of revenue now comes from new products (up from 10% last year). The target is to reach 25%. This is the direct result of ASSA ABLOY’s strategy of innovation, particularly in the area of mobile security.

Ulf Södergren, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer explained that convenience is always at the forefront of product development at ASSA ABLOY.

“If it is convenient to open a door and lock a door, then a door is going to be locked. If it is not convenient, then the door will be left open,” he said.

Tzachi Wiesenfeld, Executive Vice President and head of the EMEA region, highlighted the growing cooperation between different companies within the ASSA ABLOY group. In future, ASSA ABLOY, HID and the other members of the group will work even closer together to produce highly innovative secure solutions with a great level of convenience for the user.
